Suspected bug in NPrinting April 2020 with formulas

Hey all,

Today I upgraded a client to NPrinting April 2020. Initially all seemed to work perfectly fine, but after a while we noticed reports being stuck in execution that would usually take seconds. In addition, we had several developers reporting that they could not preview their reports.

After some digging, I found the following error in the log files:

Error converting value "Datum en tijd: 25-5-2020 16:21:52" to type 'Qlik.Reporting.Engine.Messages.Responses.DescriptiveFilterFieldValue'
 
The value it is trying to convert stems from a formula that has been added using the Report Designer interface. It appears as if NPrinting succesfully resolves the formula and then tries to convert it to a field. When we removed the formulas from the template the reports rendered without any issue.
 
These reports worked fine under the September 2019 release we were running before the upgrade. We rolled back the installation and the reports were working again. We tried to reproduce the issue on a separate environment (our own lab server), but were not able to.
 
If anyone ran into similar issues please let me know!
