errors using Variable Editor in Windows 10

Hi all

I get errors using Variable Editor in Windows 10 - QV seems to run fine on Win10, but are there any known issues running the QDF on Win10?

More specifically, the errors occur when I use the Container configuration in the "Variable Editor". When I choose to create new containers, i.e. press the button on the pop-up box, QV tells me that the execution of the script failed. I am not sure where to look for detailed error info.

I installed the same framework package on a companion Win7 and it runs with no problems.

Hope you can help.

Thomas

Hi Thomas, I'm using Windows10 myself without any issues so it's probably a security problem. It's usually one of three things:

  1. Correct security settings in QlikView Developer, check out this link.
  2. User Access Control activated, check out this workaround
  3. The the account running Variable Editor does not have write access inside the containers in the filesystem. Change security access

Hope this helps.

regards

Magnus
