How to limit the data a user can download from Qlikview Server?
I am using Qlikview Server version 11 and some users are exporting large amount of data to excel and it is causing the server to comsume large amount of memory.
Is there a way to limit the data that a user can download from the Qlikview server? Any advice how to do it in other ways?
One way of limiting this is to not allow users to export data to excel, this can be set on server level and also in individual documents for specific users (done in QMC). Also you could limit the amount of data in tables by using Dimension limits or calculation conditions to control the size of the tables. This force users to "drill down" before the can export data thus limiting the amount of data exported.
