Not being able to certificate NPrinting engine

Hi,

i installed NPrinting on the same Server as Qlikview Server. I followed the instructions and after creating the engine i wanted to certificate the engine, but i don't see the certification box.

The engine is offline and i'm not able to get it to work.

Hi,

As documented in https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/April2019/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Supported-uns... installing QlikView Server and Qlik NPrinting Server and/or Engine on the same computer is not supported. So, first of all, please install them on two different computers.

If you are using September 2017 I also suggest to upgrade to latest version (November 2019) to benefit of all solved issues.

If the issue persist, be sure the Qlik NPrinting Engine Windows service is running, be sure you met all the installation requirements and check the log files. I cannot say more with the supplied information.

Hi,

i installed the NPrinting Server & Engine now on a second Server and removed every nstallation of NPRinting on the first one.

I still don't have the window where i could type in the certificate for the engine.

Are you installing November 2017? If yes November 2017 has not the certificate password https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/November2017/Content/DeployingQVNprinting/Adding-a-Qlik-NPrint...

It was added in September 2018 https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/September2018/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Adding-a-...

Thanks for the information, but the engine stays offline and doesn't go online in a few seconds like the discription says.
