Hi everyone,
We have done a default QlikView Server Small Business installation.
We setup 5 different reload task (QVD loaders which retrieve data from different stores) almost everyone day 1 or 2 of the 5 task are failed.
Is there a maximum off simultaneous running reload tasks or maybe a setting somewhere?
I appreciate your help
whats the number of simultaneous reloads set in QMC???
Its nothing like that...It can take a load of 15-18 tasks at a time on a best practice. But before checking this, please check the reason of failure.
Check the Log Files of the QVWs or check the QMC Logs on the RHS of the task pane. The failure may be because of something else.
Post your error logs, if possible.
Hi MMohanty,
Thanks for your replay.
The QVD loader is in my opinion okay.
The reload failure is always different every day.
Sometimes it is QVD 1 and 3 and the other it is 2 and 5.
If I run the tasks seperatly nothing is going wrong.
Hi,
The maximum by default QV can support is upto 9 parallel reloads. You can increase the HEAP memory on the server to increase the number of parallel reloads.
If you are executing only 5 at a time there should not be any problem. If possible please share the logs.
Regards,
Vivek
OK..
But please check the Logs carefully or please do share over here. Those will be investigated. That's the best way to debug!!!
whats the number of simultaneous reloads set in QMC???
In the performance tab I found a setting called 'Max Concurrent Reload' and it was set to 2.
I changed this setting to 5.
Is this what you mean?
At the moment I'm performing a reload so I can tell if this is the solutions within a hour.
Do you mean the log files from the document itself or the Server?
yes this is the setting....please do share the results.
Better share the Server Logs.
Go to Status Tab>>Show tasks details (RHS)>>Log tab.
