Hi all,
I've recently seen the following message come up when re-loading data on QlikView:
'Bytes left for column id'
The app will hold for around 30-seconds then proceed as normal with no effects to the load etc.
Can anyone shed any light on why this might be happening?
Thank you in advance.
It's probably the re-indexing of the indexes in the symbol tables.
As the number of distinct values of a field increases, the engine sometimes needs to add a bit to the index, and then it has to run through all already loaded values to increase the number of bits. And this can take a few seconds.

Since this thread looks to be regarding a QlikView issue, I'm going to move it from the Qlik Sense > Alerting Discussions forum to the QlikView > Administration forum so that it reaches it's intended audience.
