Counting the occurrences of a string in a column

I am not able to retrieve the number of occurrences of a particular string from a column in qlikview.

can anyone suggest a solution?

use substringcount() function...

syntax: substringcount(Field_Name,'string')

ex: SubStringCount('abcdefabcghi','abc') will return 2, because 'abc' presents  times in the given string
