Edit script dialog is being greyed out when a new script is being added and I am unable to see rename dialog box
Hello akashrachewad,
When you create a new TAB in Script Editor, a window should always appear with the option to change default name (Ex. Main 😎 for a new one.
Qlik "remember" the last position for this dialog, so every time you create a new tab the windows it will use the last position used.
Looks like the current last position is outside the boundaries of your desktop. I tested dragging the window out of screen and looks like the only way to LOSE the window 😓 is in the right side (in other positions when you create a new tab at least some part of the window is still visible). In the picture I dragged window to the right but I let a portion to be inside windows boundaries to take the screenshot, but I could move it completely outside visible area where is not possible to easily find it 😖 ... looks like something like this happened to you.
There are some ways fix it, but the easy way is change your current windows resolution (Ex. 1920x1080) to a lower resolution (Ex. 1024x768) while QlikView Editor is opened and Tab Rename Dialog is also open. This will force to Windows 11 to reposition all windows and dialogs inside the new boundaries, then go back to the original resolution.
You need to do this change in Settings > System > Display
If you don't feel comfortable doing changes on Windows, let me know and I can remotely assist your via AnyDesk. I'm an expert in Qlik but also in Technical Support. This is valid for anyone else that need support just send me a message.
I hope the information provided will be of helpful for you. If this recommendation worked for you please do not forget to mark the answer as Solution. Regards.
