Hi All,
Is it possible to pull data from QlikView(qvw or qvd file) into Excel ? I have tried using QlikView ODBC driver but not succeed.
Note : I am not talking about pushing data from QlikView to Excel.
Thanks,
Manish
Hello Manish,
We use the QlikView ODBC driver to pull some data from a qvw file into another application. This should also be possible using Excel.
But you should use visible tables (so on a sheet) in your QlikView qvw, otherwise it does not work.
Good luck!
regards Mark

Hi Mark,
I am not getting what are visible tables. Can you plz explain ?
Thanks,
Manish
Mark means that QlikView ODBC reads data from the front end objects (e.g. charts/tables), not from the logical tables. Apparently you can create table box for each logical table, and pull data using QV ODBC.
Thanks, Michael and Mark.

Well, I can't find any ODBC Driver for Qlikview in the 10th version. Any ideas how I can use the old 8.5 driver to use
Qlikview as data source in Excel? I've installed both. Qlikview 8.5 and 10, but when trying to select Qlikview as data source in Excel version 10 opens obligatory which do not support Qlikview tables as a source. I had no problems with Qlikview 9.0 using the old 8.5 driver.
