Spacing on bar chart changes when I switch period filter

There is a marked difference in spacing when I switch from Qtrly to a yearly view.

How can I fix this ?

are these the same chart that you have a cycle group or drill down? If not what mechanism are you using to switch?

I have a conditional enaled in all my dimensions, this is based on a filter box selection.
