merge or group data in pivot

Hi,

in a pivot table we need to do a sum based on week and week_os, but we only want to see the 'merged' result.

Like using a grouping in the calcualtion for week and week_os, but only showing the week.

Here is an example I made in Excel.

Maybe someone can understand, what I am looking for and maybe there is a solution for that.

Kind Regards

Roland

Seems like you don't really need Week_OS dimension... have you tried removing it to see if you get what you want?

this is a simple example... we need the pivot table for totals, changing dimensions by the user... and some more reasons

without the Week_OS the docind2 calculation would be wrong on aggregated level

Would you be able to share a sample?

thx, that looks good, there is one more thing which makes it more complicated... the dimensions and measures are conditional, the user can decide via button click which to be shown... will check that out, if it also works... moment

and one more: if you collapse dim3, the docind2 should not just aggregated... first it must aggregate the other measures and then calculate on that result, based on week and week_os....
