Alternative to a combo chart

Hi All,

I have a combo chart (bar plus line) and I want to give the user a fast change type option to him. When I searched for suitable options in the chart types, none suits the combo I have . Is there any good alternative combo chart other than bar and line chart that i can use as an option ?

Sorry, May be I  did not frame the question correctly. I know how to change fast type graph by going to general tab.

What I am saying is there is no chart that does a good job in showing the contents of a combo chart when some other chart type is clicked. I wanted to know, have you guys used fast type change option for combo chart and which chart have you used .

May be something like using 2nd axis in a line chart?

1st axis top right and 2nd axis left bottom check split axis

Hi

Bar charts or Line charts can be used instead of Combo chart. As you said you have a bar & line in combo, in one  of any you can represent both expressions in either Bar or Line. Or even you can represent data in plain text instead of graphical representation using straight table.

But check if its really necessary to give a FastChange option, else keep it as it is. Because sometimes when we are thinking about jazzy looks & functionality, we missed the main aim (representation of information in right way).

Hope this will be helpful for you.

If you can tell something about both the expressions and why you chose combo then that will help in answering the question.

With some assumptions, I can suggest you that only other suitable chart type may be 'Straight Table' which allows the users to see the numbers and Total value.
