Difference between filetime() and QVDCreateTime()

I need to know the actual difference between fileTime() and QVDCreateTime()

Per the QV reference manual

filetime() returns the last modified time stamp of a file, any file

QVDCreateTime() returns the timestamp from the specified QVD file
