Can anybody provide detail of Independent Qlikview Desktop License Cost?
We need to purchase 3 Independent Qlikview Desktop License version for Small Organization.
We don't want to purchase Enterprise Server version to minimize our cost, so please provide details about licensing and cost.
Thanks in Advance.
This is weird pricing I have to say.
My interest for this topic comes from not being able to recover files from my old laptop (despite the fact that Qlik claims I can do this) and I considered an option to buy personal license, but now (after being active enthusiast over 2 years) I feel that its time to consider how to replace qlikview for my projects. Power BI grows really fast and Tableau has much more clear pricing policies and it looks like not as expensive as qlik has nowadays. Having in mind that I have to rework everything from scratch it's not a big deal to switch to another BI soft. This is how competition works actually ))).
If you are a Qlik enthusiast, I have a hard time seeing why you would consider moving to Power BI or Tableau. The reason why you like Qlik should contradict moving to anything else than Qlik Sense.
If you are already considering to rework your apps from scratch, Qlik Sense is the easiest choice for you. There is no need to rework your script, only adapt to the new UI layer. The visualizations give you massive flexibility in terms on extensions and widgets.
Qlik Sense Desktop is free of charge, with the only catch that you need to update it on every major or feature release. This only means that you will always be using the latest features and functions, and allows you to fully evaluate the capabilities and even do mashups. If price is a concern, Qlik Sense Desktop is free, which makes it a quite economic to use. The licensing model in Qlik Sense Enterprise is token based, you simply pay for what you need, which is a simple as it gets.
Qlik Cloud can also be an alternative for trying our Qlik Sense without having to install it at all.
Not allowing to buy one qlikview license for independent enthusiast is really upseting... it is pushing those who work a lot in qlikview but move on to new place that not using qlikview (maybe yet), to never look back to your past ... anyway .. good luck qlik ...
Interesting. Is that your latest expirience when trying to get licence?
