Simulate date

Hi everyone,

I have data samples over months (Jan to July).

[Jan,1

Feb,2

Mar,3

Apr,4

May,5

Jun,6

Jul,7]

I also know the december value

[Dec, 20].

How do i calculate (simulate?) data from July to December with :

Aug = (Dec - Jul)/5

Sept = (Dec - Aug)/4

Oct = (Dec - Sept)/3

etc.

I have no idea how to do it in qlikview

i try to do it with dummy data, i don't know it's the same as you want or not. i can try if you've provide dummy data. please check my attachment.

Lets assume i have volumes by months (Jan to July)

I know the forecast for those same volumes for December.

I need to generate a chart with the existing data (Jan to July) AND the non existing data (Aug to Nov) based on the december forecast with a linear growth from july to december with :

Aug = July + (Dec-Jul)/5

etc.

Actually i know how to do it by declaring those 12 expressions.

The point is having a dynamic code for the purpose
