Hi Bill,

Auditing and monitoring QlikView usage and in particular what is clicked on within apps (including tabs/sheets) requires just some minor setup.

Enable audit logging go to your Qlikview Management Console.

  • System > Setup > QlikView Servers > Logging tab > Enable Audit Logging
  • Restart your Qlikview Server Service and then you will see the Audit text file.

You will find audit logs in \ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\ . Files are named AUDIT_*.log

You can then utilize the free QlikView Governance Dashboard to get more insight as to the usage of your apps. Or you could create your own Monitoring app to focus just on this type of information in those log files.
