Hi,

I Think the qvd file is "open"/used by another process. Close all other document that maybe use the qvd file.

It can also be that the sequrity has been changed at the folder where save your qvd.

Could it be that some of the files you include and try to change / re-store are locked as they are opened / used e.g. with an editor / Excel...?

Maybe its a memory issue...is the data very big?

There is also an interesting reply from Jonathan Dienst to a similar problem in http://community.qlik.com/message/395705#395705

Quote from Jonathan Dienst:''

User does not have write access to the path specified

the path does not exist (the write command does NOT create the folder if it does not exist). If you have a space between $(qvdpath) and TableNm, this could be the problem.

The file name and path should be enclosed in square brackets if the path contains spaces.  ie like [$(qvdpath)TableNm.qvd].

The file is locked and cannot be overwritten. This can be caused by a failed QV reload that was aborted, but left the QV.exe running. Close all instances of QV.exe processes in the task manager.

Hi,

There is no details about the error in the log file, it just has General script error.  with this it is difficult to know the reason.  One for sure it is whether the path is missing or you do not have access to the path.

Check the access in MyComputer and paste the path there, and check whether you have access to read and write, try to create a file there.

Jagan.
