Converting hours to min

Hi,

Is it possible to show convert hours into minutes by adding the minutes to it. Like if it is 12:50:00. I want to convert the 12hrs to minutes and add with the 50 minutes.

returns 770 = 12*60 + 50

interval#('12:50','hh:mm')*24*60
