Show MoreI wanted to share a quick update on the AWS incident reported on October 20, which caused intermittent impact for some Qlik Cloud tenants. Firstly, my apologies to those who were affected, our customers are always our top priority.
In terms of response, our on-call teams engaged within minutes. The EMEA team led the initial response, then handed over smoothly to our US team, and we worked with AWS until recovery. All affected services are now operating normally, and no action is required from you.
Next, we are completing a full post-incident review. Incidents like this are rare, and we are evaluating additional safeguards to further strengthen reliability and resiliency.

The event payloads emitted by the Qlik Cloud webhooks service are changing. Qlik is replacing a legacy event format with a new cloud event format.
Any legacy events (such as anything not already cloud event compliant) will be updated to a temporary hybrid event containing both legacy and cloud event payloads.
When will these changes take place?
This will start on or after November 3, 2025.
At least six months after a formal deprecation notice, the legacy fields will be removed, leaving fully cloud events only. The formal deprecation notice will be provided through the Qlik Developer changelog.
What action do I need to take?
Consider updating your integrations to use the new fields once added.

My very first assignment? Launch our new Qlik Community platform.Now, to be clear -the Qlik Community was already very much alive and thriving. But the new software platform that was meant to power it had been sitting on the shelf - the dreaded shelfware. I remember thinking, “I need to get this up and running before the start of the year.” So, I met with the vendor, and together we landed on a launch date: November 13th, 2018.
That gave me two months to bring it to life. Would it be difficult? Absolutely. Practically impossible? Maybe.
I was pretty sure the vendor thought I was out of my mind. So, I told them directly: “You’re either on board or you’re not which one is it?” I’ll spare you the play-by-play, but I still laugh thinking about the phone call a few days before launch when the vendor said, “Melissa, we can’t get this done.”
In my calmest but firmest voice, I replied, “We are going live on November 13th with or without you.”
We got on a call, scrubbed the list of blockers and decided what was truly critical and what could wait for post-launch.I had already shared the launch date with our Community members and the Qlik Executive Team. There was no way I was missing the date.
And so it began.. our journey to migrate the Qlik Community from old to new.
The transition went surprisingly smooth (aside from that one premature tweet announcing we were live before we actually were -oops!). But it was exhilarating. What I remember most wasn’t the chaos or the late nights - it was your reaction. The messages of excitement, the offers to help, the flood of encouragement. I felt the warmth of this community instantly. That’s when I knew we had something very special.
Because what makes a community truly amazing isn’t the technology or the features - it’s the people.
Building Something Bigger
In the early days, I moderated the forums with my two teammates like a drill sergeant making sure every question got answered in record time. That level of hustle wasn’t sustainable but it revealed something important: we were building more than a support forum.
We were creating a digital support and customer advocacy ecosystem.
Week after week, we pushed out new releases. We listened to feedback. We weren’t afraid to change or experiment. We were on a mission and you responded with energy and partnership.
What you see today, years later, is the result of that relentless drive and a growing team dedicated to delivering the best online community experience possible.
Why I'm Sharing ThisThere’s a reason for this story.
Of all the things I’ve worked on at Qlik, nothing has captured my heart more than this community. Because I know what lives behind the curtain - the hundreds of hours of workshops, planning sessions, and late-night troubleshooting. The constant drive to make the experience better.Despite all we have done over the years there’s always more to do. That’s the beauty of it. A community never stands still. It evolves. It innovates. It grows with you.

A New Chapter
I’m moving into a new chapter in my Qlik journey taking on a new role and passing the Community baton.But rest assured, you’re in the best of hands.
Still, if I’m honest, it’s hard to step away, even just a little bit, from something that has meant so much. This community is part of who I am.

Qlik Analytics Migration Tool – v2.0.0 リリース
移行の計画と実行をより柔軟かつ効率的にし、依存関係を配置する新機能を導入しました。
- 移行計画: Excel のエクスポートとインポートによるプランの一括編集
サイトメタデータを空のテンプレート、ソース接続からの事前入力、または現在のプランに基づいてエクスポートします。Excel ワークフローは、反復的な一括編集、外部データの生成、インターフェイスでは利用できない高度な変換を可能にします。インポートは、GUID 修正用の注釈付きファイルで検証され、Excel データはサイトのメタデータとマージされ、ツール内でさらに更新されるため、最大限の柔軟性が得られます。
- 移行プラン: Data Gateway のサポート
Data Gateway をサポートするデータ接続は、プラン内で直接、または Excel を介して Data Gateway にバインドできるようになり、Qlik Cloud でのソース データへのアクセス方法をより細かく制御できるようになりました。
- プロジェクトとジョブ: スコープ別の標準ジョブリスト
[標準ジョブの作成] を選択すると、Qlik Sense Enterprise Client-Managed、QlikView、Qlik NPrinting などのプロジェクト スコープの入力を求めるプロンプトが表示されるようになりました。標準ジョブは、選択されたスコープに対して自動的に生成され、セットアップの手間を軽減します。

Qlik Open Lakehouse

モニタリング機能拡張のための API
Qlik Talend Data Integrationにおける監視用APIが追加されました。
- GET/v1/di-projects/{projectId}/di-tasks/{dataTaskId}/runtime/state
- 既存の「プロジェクト タスクの実行状態を取得API をエンハンスしました。
- 実行状態、開始/終了時間、継続時間だけでなく、タスク データセット数 (エラー中のデータセットを含む)、ゲートウェイ ID、名前、getawayTaskName、連続タスクの待ち時間など、リアルタイムでのタスク監視に役立つ新しいフィールドが多数追加されました。
- GET/v1/di-projects/{projectId}/di-tasks/{dataTaskId}/runtime/state/datasets
- 実行時状態 API の改良に加え、タスクに関連するデータセットレベルの詳細 (データセット名と ID、データセットの状態、処理開始時刻と終了時刻、該当する場合は処理されたレコード数など) を提供する新しい「実行時データセット状態のリスト」をリリースしました。
パイプライン プロジェクトでのJSONカラム登録のサポート
データタスクは自動的に JSONカラムを検出し、JSONデータ型をセットします。
- 新しい JSON 論理タイプは、以下のデータ型にマッピングされます。
- Snowflake と Databricks： VARIANT
- Google BigQuery：JSON
- Amazon Redshift：SUPER
- Microsoft SQL Server、Microsoft Fabric、Azure Synapse Analytics：VARCHAR(max)

- 多くのアプリをリロードする際の制御性が向上し、より効率的な運用が実現できます。
パイプラインプロジェクトのWebhookをQlik Automateでサポート
Qlik Automateで、Webhook を使用して、これら4つのイベントのいずれかで自動化を開始するようにトリガーできるようになりました。

データ製品の新機能
Qlik Trust Score の履歴をグラフィカル ナビゲーション
データセットの Qlik Trust Score の履歴をワンクリックで確認できます。各指標ごとにグラフで表示され、傾向の把握、変化の追跡、データ品質の進化の把握が容易です。イベントの表形式リストと組み合わせることで、時間の経過に伴う品質の変化についてクリアで詳細な洞察が得られます。
生成AIによるデータセットの説明を自動作成する機能の強化
生成AIによるデータセットの説明をより簡単に文書化する方法に、フィールド（項目）の説明が含まれるようになりました。
- Qlik Talend Cloudでは、生成AIを活用してデータセットの説明を記述することで、ドキュメント作成作業を迅速化できます。
- 今回のアップデートで、すべてのフィールドの説明も含まれるようになりました。データセット名と列名に基づき、生成AIを活用して説明が自動的に入力され、承認、拒否、または変更が可能です。
データ製品向けのOData準拠API
データ製品は、OData準拠のAPIエンドポイントを介して安全に公開できるようになりました。これにより、様々なサードパーティ・ツールからデータのクエリ、フィルタリング、利用が可能になりました。
- シームレスなシステム統合
- カスタムコネクタを開発することなく、データ製品をODataをサポートする各種ビジネスインテリジェンスツール、分析プラットフォーム、エンタープライズアプリケーションへ直接接続することが可能です。
- 価値実現までの時間短縮
- データの抽出と利用に必要な開発工数を削減します。標準化されたODataエンドポイントにより、アナリストおよび開発者は迅速にデータ活用を開始できます。
- 安全で管理されたアクセス
- APIエンドポイントには、データ製品に既に適用されているデータガバナンス、アクセス制御、および権限がそのまま継承されます。これにより、統制の取れた安全なデータアクセスが保証されます。

An upcoming update to Qlik Cloud will change the default filenames generated during an ad hoc download of a chart (such as Data, Image, or PDF).
Currently, the filename defaults to Qlik Sense - <object name> - <date>
Example: downloading from an object titled Investment Mix, the filename is Qlik Sense - Investment Mix - October 1, 2025
After the change has gone into effect, the default is <object name> - <date>
Example: downloading the identical file as above will now generate the name Investment Mix - October 1, 2025
When will this change be deployed?
This change will be deployed in two weeks following this post. The expected release is at or around October 27th, 2025.
Why is this change being made?
This change is being made to support customers in extending the platform to all enterprise use cases, whether interactive, embedded, or API integrated.

Show MoreToday, we’re excited to announce a new Generative AI Data Quality Rule Assistant in Qlik Talend Cloud to close the data quality productivity gap. Our new feature works by profiling your datasets and uses AI to suggest applicable data quality rules. In fact, the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Augmented Data Quality solutions calls out that “By 2027, the application of generative AI (GenAI) will accelerate the time to value of data and analytics governance and master data management (MDM) programs by 40%”. Less time spent defining, testing, and deploying rules means faster delivery of trusted data for analytics and AI—with zero guesswork.
A smarter way to define data quality rules
To define data quality rules more intelligently, we first need to understand what a data quality validation rule actually does. It checks whether your data aligns with your business’s expectations — ensuring it follows real-world logic, not just technical constraints. For example, an insurance claim can’t exceed policy coverage, a shipment can’t leave before its order date, or a patient’s discharge date can’t be earlier than admission.
For organizations with large, diverse data estates, manually building every validation rule doesn’t scale and slows down data teams. Instead of starting every data quality validation rule from scratch, the new Generative AI Data Quality Rule Assistant accelerates this process by offering rule suggestions tailored to your data.
For example, let’s say you’re managing a streaming movie catalog stored in a Snowflake Data Cloud. The dataset has fields like TITLE, CONTENT_TYPE, KIDS_SUITABLE, and DURATION_MINUTES, ensuring the quality of this data would mean hand-coding dozens of data quality checks.
Our Generative AI Data Quality Rule Assistant profiles the Snowflake table, scans the metadata, and automatically suggests relevant validation rules. For non-Snowflake data assets, this works similarly.
Automatic data quality validation rule generation
In case of the above example, here are a few sample rules generated :
- Not empty check: Ensure that the TITLE is not empty
- Allowed values check: Ensure that HAS_SUBTITLES equals a valid value (0 or 1)
- Positive value check: Validate that DURATION_MINUTES is always greater than 0

Show MoreIn this blog post, I will illustrate two ways that an image in an analytics app can be changed dynamically based on selections. In one example, a layout container and the show condition is used to control which image is visible. In a second example, an IF statement is used to determine which image URL to use. In the second example, I will also review how to obtain the URL for an image in the media library of an analytics app.
Let’s begin by looking at the first example. In this example, we have an app on automobiles. When the user selects one of the automobile names, a picture of the car will be visible. If no cars are selected, then an image of all 4 automobiles should be displayed. Below is the image with no selections and all 4 cars visible.
When the Nebula model is selected, the sheet updates and only the Nebula model is visible.
In this example, a layout container has 5 Text & image objects – one image for each automobile model and one image for all cars.
A show condition like this is used to determine if the Text & image object should be visible. Only one image will be visible at any given time.
Now, let’s look at another example of how the background image can be dynamically displayed using an URL. In this example, one Text & image object is needed. In the properties of the object, under Presentation > Styling, a background image can be set. When URL is selected from the drop-down list, the option to enter an expression is available. Note that you want to edit the Background image setting that is in Presentation > Styling, not the Background image section in the properties panel.
The IF statement below checks to see which automobile model is selected to determine which image to show. If there is not a selection on the model, then the image of all the automobiles is displayed. In this example, the URLs for the media library images were used, but you could also link to images in an external source like an Amazon s3 bucket.To find the URL for images in the media library, you can open the media library or use a sheet in the app that has the image on it. In my Chrome browser, I opened the Developer tools to inspect the image. In Chrome, the Developer tools can be opened by using Ctrl-Shift-I or from the three-dots icon in the upper right corner of the browser window and selecting More tools > Developer tools. Once the Developer tools window is open you can inspect an element by clicking on the Elements tab and then selecting the image in the highlighted box below. This will allow you to select elements on the page.
In the analytics app, click on the image in the library so that it appears in the preview window. When you click on the image in the preview window, you will see that a line in the html is highlighted. If necessary, expand the code to find the URL for the image.
Copy the URL that is listed in the src attribute for the img tag (see below). In the expression, you can use the full URL that includes https:// and the tenant name or just what is displayed in the src tag. Repeat these steps for each image.

With the release of Qlik Alerting November 2025, the capability to Force HTTP only will be fully removed.
Why is Force HTTP being removed?
The change is motivated by two key reasons:
- It aligns Qlik Alerting with modern web security practices
- The configuration, while previously documented, was not functional for some time due to the upgrade-insecure-requests Content Security Policy
What action do I need to take?
With the deprecation of HTTP config, administrators need to take additional action upon installing the new release. See Qlik Alerting - Qlik Sense extension | help.qlik.com for details, specifically step 5:
