QlikSense Information

Hi QlikSense Experts,

We are recently adopted QlikSense reporting apart from QlikView.

However we are still need to know whether attached capabilities are available or not?

If anyone have idea, can you please provide the information. It would be helpful if we get this information.

Thanks.

Hello,

Good to see your response. Is Section access available at both? You mean desktop and server?

Recently i have seen couple of answers, and it is available only with Server. However there is no clear idea how to implement it at Server?

Can we use section access table like QlikView? If yes, where can we enter there values in QMC of QlikSense?

ACCESS, NTNAME, FIELD, OMIT etc?

I got this information about PowerPivot:

Imagine you are an analyst for an electronics company called Contoso Electronics. You want to examine sales over time and compare sales by product type, year, and country. During the course of this tutorial, you will use PowerPivot to:

  • Import data from multiple sources.
  • Create linked data.
  • Create relationships between data from different sources.
  • Rename columns, and create calculated columns.
  • Create hierarchies.
  • Create PivotTables and PivotCharts.
  • Add Slicers.
  • Create a measure and KPI.
  • Create perspectives.
  • Save the resulting Excel spreadsheet.

So based on above information, i think we can do the same process in QlikSense for PowerPivot.

Sangram and Andy, can you correct me if i am wrong?

Hi Raju,

Section access is available only with the server version.

This will help you implement section access on the server:

Tips and tricks for section access in Qlik Sense (2.0+)

Yes you can use the same section access table.

Thanks and Regards,

Sangram Reddy.

Hi Sangram,

Any detailed idea of incremental load in QMC of Qliksense?

Recently i found couple of questions on this, without complete solution.

I am wonder how to implement it?

Where do we need to add section access information in a table format in QMC?
