Active directory import is currently set up in NPrinting for users. Given an app with a State field, every user within that state should receive a report filtered on that specific state. Is there a way to use AD with the recipient file (or an alternative way) to filter the app in this way? With hundreds of users, it's not feasible to set up individual tasks and if possible, I would like to avoid adding every user to the Users tab in the Recipients file as this will need to be redone every month.
Thank you!
Hi @mb_0324
Nprinting AD import can only import user and email information.
To do what you are asking would require a schema change (not recommended nor even suggested here) in windows active directory where you would theoretically have the option to insert user filters into active directory user properties.
Therefore, the only way to add 'user filters' is by way of the recipient import file.
Yes, unfortunately this does mean managing the recipient import file to ensure user filters are added as needed.
Kind regards...
