Friendly URL alias for NPrinting dashboard

We are trying to setup a friendly alias URL for NPrinting dashboard.

We currently access the dashboard by central node Virtual Machine name https://biz-qlik303:4993/#/dashboard. We would like to get dashboard access at https://reports.company.com.

We have a similar setup for Qlik Sense which works perfectly. We can access Qlik Sense hub at https://biz-qlik301.company.com/hub as well as https://analytics.company.com/hub.

We do not see any place where we can add the alias URL for NPrinting dashboard. We looked for answers online but the closest answer we get is to rename the VM (https://support.qlik.com/articles/000027483). We are interested in having an alias name rather than renaming the VM.

Environment:

Qlik NPrinting April 2019, Version: 19.9.5.0 installed on Windows Server 2012 R2

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi @kthakur

There is no method "out of the box"via the NP web console to enable a user friendly alias at this time.

I would suggest speaking to your DNS server administrator about either one of the options below:

https://www.whatsmydns.net/hosts-file.html

NOTE: The above is purely a suggestion and should be used advisedly before proceeding. Please consult your DNS, Network server and security teams to investigate a solution that will work best for your organization.

Others here in this community may also choose to share their own solutions and experiences as well.

Kind regards...
