We all dream of building QlikView applications that show off the peaks and valleys of the data through stunning visualization and bring out the value of QlikView. But have you ever wondered what creates an overall good user experience for the user of QlikView?
Last year I got an opportunity to attend a usability conference in Dallas which was conducted by the Nielsen Norman Group who do usability research and consulting. I came back enlightened with a lot of great knowledge about best practices based on human cognitive psychology and behavior that could be applied to designing QlikView applications.
In this document I have outlined some of the guidelines and best practices based on principles of user experience design which I learned that can be applied to the process of designing a QlikView applications.
