axis labels

Hi,

i have a bar chart and under each bar is text which says what the bar is.

However the text is a too long to fit under the bar, is there a way to wrap the text so you can read the whole bar?

Hi Laura,

Use ctrl+shift to adjust the bar and axes panes.

You can go in chart properties,in presentation tab there is limit legend character option.

Hi Udit,

I do not want to limit the legend i want it to show the whole legend, currently it cut it off at a certain point, i was wondering if there was a feature to wrap the text so it is on two lines?

Hi, i tried this but it just means you have to have a massive axis space, is there not a way to wrap each legend over 2 lines?

Hi Laura,

Can you try this chart properties-->Style-->Orientation  instead of horizotal better you select vertical it will show  u better result

The only way I know is to embed line breaks in the lables. Then they break at the line breaks.

If the labels refer to expressions, you can insert a break into the lable on the Expressions box. If its a dimension, you might need to insert the break in the source file for the lable.
