Hello Qlik Community,
With June, we kicked off the Summer season and closed out the first half of 2019. The Community team made quite a few updates to the user interface, automated some processes, and made performance enhancements as well. Let's take a look at some of the highlights.
1. Automated Welcome Email for New Members
New community members will now automatically receive a welcome email from the Qlik Community team two days after joining. The welcome email provides links to getting started resources and places of interest in the Community to help new members get up to speed quickly and find what's most relevant to them.
2. New Notification Settings
Four new notification settings make it easy to control whether or not you receive different types of notifications. If you turn any these notifications off, you will still get notifications in your communitynotification feed, which you can access through the bell icon in the page header.
3. Added Social Icons to Events & Webinars Cards
The Events & Webinars page showcases upcoming events and webinars you can register in advance for, as well as listing webinars available to watch on demand, anytime. We've added social sharing icons to each event card, making it easy for you to invite a friend or share events of interest with your network.
4. Meetups Page Now Updates Automatically
The Meetups page displays the upcoming Meetups being held around the world. This page now displays the upcoming events automatically, so it is always up to date.
5. New Groups Tab for Leader Groups
On the Groups page, we've created a new tab for Leader Groups. These are private, invitation only groups for members of each program. We've moved Qlik Community MVPs and Qlik Luminaries groups from the Topic Groups tab to the Leader Groups tab, and added a new group for Qlik Meetup Captains.
6. Added Sort By Filter to Blogs
The Sort By Filter is now available on each blog, allowing you to sort blog posts by Most Popular, Most Viewed, Original Post Date, or Latest Reply, just like you can in other areas of the community.
7. Updated Labels in Community Corner
We've updated the labels on posts in the Community Corner in order to better categorize content. In many cases, the labels used were converted to tags, and new labels applied.Labels work best when few are used as a general classification, and then more tags are used for detailed classification.
8. Performance Improvements
We also made some performance enhancements and resolved an issue that was causing Firefox browsers to load slowly.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for being a member of the Qlik Community.
Let us know in the comments below which of these updates are most important to you.

Hello Qlik Community!
Once again, we've made more exciting enhancements in the month of May (and early June).
1. New Qlik Resources Page
In place of the Qlik Company page, we now have a Qlik Resources page with links to a wide array of Qlik resources, including portals, sites, and social media channels. It's your one stop shop for all things Qlik. Since this page offers easy access to so many other Qlik resources, be sure to bookmark it.
2. Sort Feeds by Date on the Fly
The filter selection for content feeds now has two more options - Sort by Original Post Date and Sort by Latest Reply.
Sort by Original Post Date to see the order threads were created, or choose Latest Reply to see which threads are currently active with new replies. You can still make your own selection in My Settings, and use this filter when you want to switch views temporarily. To do so, go toMy Settings > Preferences > General > Sort Topics by.
3. New Blog - Qlik Architecture Deep Dive Blog
The Qlik architecture team has launched a new blog fordeep dives into specific back-end technologies which allow for the extension of Qlik to fit the needs of the enterprise.Blog posts so far cover getting notifications from Qlik Sense, SMTP, UDP, and external program tasks. Check out the Qlik Architecture Deep Dive Blog and welcome them to the community.
With the addition of this Architecture blog, Qlik Community now has eight blogs!
4. Standardized Date Display
Discussion board pages were using a different date format from the rest of the community. Now, all dates displyed in the community are ISO format of YYYY-MM-DD.
5. Icons for Partners
Looking for a partner? We've added a new rank icon for community members who are Qlik partners, and "Partner" is listed next to their usernames.
6. Link Fixes
We've made updates to repair broken links in the community due to the platform migration. This was particularly affecting links to blog posts, but also some other pages as well. Now, they redirect to the proper page.
If you find any links that still need to be repaired, let us know with a comment below and a link to the page the broken link is on.
Thanks for reading and thanks for being a community member. As always, let us know if you have any questions or feedback.

Hello Community Members,
While we continue to make improvements in the Qlik Community we want to be sure to keep you informed of all the updates being made. Some of these updates were suggestions from our very own community members. We are pleased to inform you that for the month of April you will notice the following changes:
1. Interacting with Content from the Comunity Home Page and Product Forums
From the Community Home Page content feed and the Product Forum feeds, you can now interact with the content without opening the full post. From here you can expand the post to "Show More", you can "Like" a piece of content and even post a "Quick Reply".
2. Moderator Component Added to Forum Category Pages
You will notice that all the Product Forums now have Moderators(s) listed on the right side of the navigation. These are your go-to people if you need help within that product forum.
3. Ability to "Like" a Comment on a Document
If you are looking at a piece of documentation that has comments, you can now "Like" the comment that was made by a community member.
4. Enhanced Message Editing and Posting Experience
Toolbars across all discussion styles are now consistent and have the same controls. It includes many more options catering to all messaging styles. Each toolbar has been optimized according to each discussion style.
5. Community Browser Updated
The community browser section now only displays the context around where you are in the community, instead of the full structure. For example, if you are in Qlik Sense it will only display Qlik Sense.
6. Added a Home Page Quick Start Component
You will notice on the right side of the Qlik Community Home Page a new image that is linked to the Getting Started guide.
That's a wrap. Feel free to comment on these updates. We are now busy working on enhancements for May.
All the Best,
Sue and the Qlik Community Team
Hello Community Members!
The Qlik Community team has been hard at work making a number of enhancements to the community's user interface this month to improve our members' user experience. Here are our top ten enhancements of the last month.
1. Home Page Filters
The Recent Discussions feed on the Qlik Community Home Page now has a boards filter so that you can choose which boards you would like to see posts from, all in one place.
To use it, click on Select Board(s) to open a drop-down menu of community discussion boards. Check the box next to the ones you want to see posts from, and then click the Go button. The Recent Discussions feed will update, and the Recent, Unanswered, Unsolved, and Solved tabs will update to show posts of those types from the selected boards.
To reset the selected boards back to all, reopen the drop-down menu and click the Clear button.
2. Profile Hovercard
You can now hover of a member's username to see a nifty hovercard with info about that user, including the number of Posts, Likes, Solutions provided, and more.
3. Subscribe for Updates
We've added a callout for the Subscribe button to let members know you can subscribe to forums or boards that you'd like to get updates on.
Once subscribed, the callout disappears, and the Subscribe button turns into an Unsubscribe button which you can use to remove the subscription.
Tip: To see your subscriptions and manage your notification settings, go to My Settings > Subscriptions & Notifications > Notification Settings. You can also use the My Subscriptions shortcut from your username menu.
4. Label Subscriptions
On forum pages, you can click on a Label listed in the Top Labels component to display a list of posts in that forum that have that label. You can subscribe to that particular label by clicking Subscribe in the green banner on that page.
5. Qlik Events
Qlik Events is now on the top level of the navigation menu, and contains separate pages for Events & Webinars and Meetups.
Tip: You can now subscribe to the Qlik Events page to get notifications when new Events & Webinars are added, and many webinars are available On Demand after the live events have taken place.
6. Nested Replies Indented on Discussion Threads
On discussion threads, replies to replies now indent successively. A new reply to the original post will be less indented than a reply to a reply.
7. Document Filters
Document boards now have a Most Liked tab to sort documents by the number of Likes, and we've added the Select Filters drop-down for Most Popular and Most Viewed sorting like you've seen on discussion boards.
8. Document Comments Bug Fix
We've fixed a bug that was causing document comments to appear misaligned. They now appear aligned as expected.
9. Save Blog as Draft
For members who are blog authors, there is now a button to save a blog post as a draft to be retrieved later.Tip: To access your drafts (regardless of content type), go to My Profile and scroll down to the Drafts section. There you can open your draft to continue editing and publish, or you can discard the draft from here.
10. MVP & Luminary Combined Rank Icon
For those members who are Qlik Community MVPs as well as Qlik Luminaries, we've added a new rank icon to specially recognize their membership in both groups. Congratulations to our MVPs & Luminaries!
There you have it! Let us know which of these updates you like the most by commenting below.
