I would like to share with you the knowledge that perhaps many have not yet used, however at some point is inevitable, HIERARCHIES of NODE tables. Talking to several people developing in QlikView most of them do not know this concept, even by not using, put in some companies, including using SAP you'll surely come across this kind of concept. Tables hierarchies that are structured in us, that is, FATHER and SON. For that use within the QlikView HIERARCHY command that transforms a FATHER / SON table in a useful table in QlikView.
To be able to work this method the table should be structured as shown below.
CAMPO PAI = FATHER FIELD
CAMPO FILHO = FIELD SON
DESCRIÇÃO DO NÓ = NODE DESCRIPTION
This table behind FATHER information, SON and DESCRIPTION KNOT through this table, which is usually used in ERPs like SAP, TVTOS among others will put generate a usable table. For this, the command should be used as follows.
Hierarchy (FIELD SON, FATHER FIELD, NODE DESCRIPTION)
When this function is performed will have the following result:
It maps all we create the parent table and child until your last level, as shown below.
Thus it is possible aplicas these levels PivotTables and charts, involving much of the time the other tables to create cash accounts tables, financial items and even departmental structure.
Hope this helps.
