Dear Community Im new here,
I have already open 2 cases to support but long story short, wasted time.
Maybe someone out here have got same problem 🙂
After Exchange migration I did the necessary setup in order to be able to use o365 online and we mail distribution work partially.
any report where the recipients email address are content on a .txt file works OK
when using Excel method for distribution, where the reports runs in loop mode and distribute the report based on the condition and multiple email recipient combination, in this case i will have less than half of distribution succeed, and the big part will fail.
Job will complete with warnings
Warning: Failed to send mail to user@domain.com
Warning: Distribution reported warnings for resource "report" (MailAttachmentDistributionResource). Warnings=1
Warning: Distribution to resources reported warnings. Warnings: 2
Support only reply : management service and distribution service are running either on different account with different permissions or different servers with different permission.
but this is NOT the case
we do have only 1 Qlik server, the service account is the same one for all Qlik services
Thanks for the help in advance
Max
Dear All, as suggested by a pro developer who was in the past involved in this reports creation,
he advice to change the topic title or add a comment in order to clarify the following:
"We have a loop on a specific field of the application in the distribution task and a list of recipients for each value of this loop field" (nothing to do with where comes from the email recepient if txt/xls as I previously mentioned on the title of this post!)
over a month when Support cases created (we created 2!)
over 2 weeks when **bleep** post was created here in the community
no help at all
We did Find a solution, simple one, Remove Qlik the responsability of sending emails and it works!
so Qlik has a problem here without solution gents so dont waste your time like we did and use a local smtp service instead so qlik dont have to be responsible for distributing
