Variable input with dynamic values and labels

I use the Variable input for qlik sense.

Based on a table containing a field with a variable value and a variable label, I try to make a dynamic drop down.

I do have it working with the function =concat(distinct dropdownvalue,'|')

But, I fail to add the label value in there using the ~

Following gives an error message: =concat(distinct dropdownvalue~dropdownlabel,'|')

I tried some other combinations without success. Any ideas?
